Chamber of Commerce Boone County Health Report Card Project

The Chamber of Commerce's Boone County Health Report Card project was created in February 1995 by the Community Health Care Task Force to improve the health of the community. The Health Report Card project chaired by Bob Bailey, assistant dean of the MU School of Law, was initiated to find out how Boone County is responding to specific health issues, identify and prioritize areas of need and direct resources accordingly.

In 1995, 13 project teams studied their health issues in detail, set goals for improvement and target dates to accomplish them. In 1996, a report care was generated to monitor progress on each issue. Next year, another series of report cards will again be issued.
