Description |
Impact Aid provides direct federal funds to
school districts having 400 or more students, or 3 percent or more of the average
daily attendance (ADA), composed of children who live with parents or guardians who live
and/or work on federal property or are employed on federal property. Also, districts that
have had 10 percent or more of the assessed valuation of real property removed by the
federal government since 1938 are eligible for limited financial assistance. The law
provides assistance of construction of minimum school facilities when substantial
increases in school enrollment occur as a result of increased federal activity. |
